Bulbs 1/Z" to 1" in diameter should be spaced 2" to 5" apart. For the most part they produce lower growing plants. Bulbs 11/4" to 2" in diameter should be spaced 4" to 6" apart. For the most part they produce medium size plants. Bulbs 21/Z" and up in diameter should be spaced 6" to 8" apart. For the most part these will be the taller plants. After planting, water well to settle the soil. Once the bulbs sprout, keep soil moist but not soggy. Never allow water to stand. After blooming let the plants die back naturally before removing foliage. This allows the bulbs to replenish themselves for the next season. | |
